What must I do to be saved?
Romans 3:23 - Since we've compiled this long and sorry record as sinners (both us and them) and proved
that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us, (The Message Bible)
Every one of us is a sinner. Every one of us have come short of God's glory.
Romans 6:23 - Work hard for sin your whole life and your pension is death. But God's gift is
real life, eternal life, delivered by Jesus, our Master (The Message Bible)
John 3:16: - God loved the world so much that He gave his one and only Son so that whosoever believes on
Him may not be lost, but have eternal life. (NCV)
Because of our sin, we deserve death, eternal punishment, the wrath of God. But God, because He loves us, has provided
a means to have eternal life with Him. That means is the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 1:12 - But as many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even
to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man,
but of God. (KJV)
You must receive him. Nobody is born into salvation. Nobody deserves it.
Romans 10:9 - For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that
God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 11 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God,
and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, "Anyone who believes in him will
not be disappointed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich
unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (NLT)
You must call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, believeing on Him as the sacrifice for your sins.
Ephesians 2:8 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the
gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. (KJV)
There is nothing you can do to earn salvation. You must be saved by the grace of God, in receiving Him (Jesus).
